The short version
This policy explains how the Phone Cleaner app for iPhone (“Phone Cleaner”, “the app”) handles information. The app is developed and published by Sufian, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy, write to amazingworld2327@gmail.com.
Phone Cleaner does not ask you to create an account or give us your name. Things you type or create in the app — QR codes, PDF names, settings — stay on your iPhone. The only time you give us information is when you choose to send feedback (see section 8).
Everything the app works with is stored on your iPhone, inside the app’s own storage or in the places you choose (your photo library, your contacts, the Files app). We do not run a server that stores your data, and the app does not sync anything to iCloud on its own. Your iPhone’s usual backups may include the app’s storage, as with any app.
With your permission, the app reads your photo library to find look-alike photos, large videos and old screenshots, and to show how much space you could free (sizes are an estimate). This analysis uses Apple’s on-device frameworks (Photos, Vision and Core ML) and runs entirely on your iPhone. Photos and videos are never uploaded.
With your permission, the app reads the names, phone numbers and email addresses in your contacts to find duplicates. The comparison runs on your iPhone; contacts are never uploaded. When you merge cards, the merged card is saved to your contacts and a copy of the original cards is kept on your iPhone for 24 hours so you can undo, then removed. You can turn off access any time in iOS Settings › Phone Cleaner › Contacts.
The camera is used only while the QR scanner is open, to read codes. Nothing is photographed, recorded or stored. The text of a scanned code is shown to you on screen and not sent anywhere.
If you send feedback from Settings, the app opens an email in your own mail app, addressed to us. It contains the message you write, the reply email address if you add one and, if you leave the option on, basic device details (iPhone model, iOS version, app version, language and region setting, and whether you have Phone Cleaner Pro). You can read and edit the email before sending. We use it only to answer you and fix problems, keep it only as long as needed for that, and never sell or share it. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.
If you turn them on, the app sends local notifications — a low-storage alert and a weekly summary. They are created on your iPhone; no push service or server is involved. To prepare them, iOS may let the app check free storage and finish a photo scan in the background. You can turn notifications off in the app’s Settings or in iOS Settings.
Phone Cleaner Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your iPhone, which purchases you have so it can unlock Pro and restore it. We do not keep a purchase history on a server. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and does not send usage data to us or anyone else. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics, which we use only to fix bugs.
You stay in control of everything the app stores:
Your data stays on your iPhone, protected by iOS — the app sandbox, your passcode and Face ID or Touch ID, and device encryption. Speed tests and any connection the app makes use encrypted HTTPS.
Data on your iPhone stays until you delete it or delete the app. Contact snapshots for undo are removed after 24 hours. Feedback emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and resolve the issue.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the only personal information we can receive is what you send in feedback emails, you can exercise these rights by writing to us; we will answer within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Phone Cleaner is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top, and, for important changes, mention it in the app’s release notes. Questions or requests: amazingworld2327@gmail.com (Sufian, developer of Phone Cleaner).
